Mornin'
been doing my training for module 1 . On sat I'm practising on a BMW G650X which I'll take my test on Tuesday on. Smile

just wondering how long the module 1 pass certificate lasts before it expires? is it 2years like the CBT? Forgot to ask this morning. Planning on doing Mod 2 as soon as I pass but just in case it all goes Pete Tong I'd like to know Laughing

This certificate will expire on the same date as your motorcycle theory certificate. If you fail to sit/pass your Module 2 test before this expiry date, then you will be required to re-take your theory and also re-sit the Module 1 test.

HTH! Thumbs Up

Hi mate, need a little help. I've read your thread regarding module 1 expiry. I know the threads quite old so I apologize for that. You say the module 1 certificate will expire the same date as your motorcycle theory certificate, what if I simply do another motorcycle theory test before the first one expires? so the module 1 certificate is prolonged?
Thanks

I don't think you can do another one until the other has expired. They'll check your license number and see that you have it, and I doubt they'd allow you to re-sit at that point.

But I've booked my 2nd theory test before the first one expires?

Hey there.

I'll clarify what I have said.

Your Module 1 certificate is valid for the life of YOUR CURRENT theory test certificate. I.E. the theory test certificate you had WHEN YOU PASSED YOUR MODULE 1.

Taking another theory test doesn't make a difference, the Module 1 certificate will expire when your first (and original) theory test expires.

I am fairly sure this is how it works.

Just get out there and pass your test! Laughing!

CBT: 27/08/08. Theory: 04/09/09. Module 1: 16/09/09. Module 2: 01/10/09.

Paulington

Don't be so unsure: you're dead right.

The Module 1 Pass Certificate has on it your Theory test pass certificate number, so when you come to attend your module 2, you have to provide the module 1 pass certificate and the theory test test pass certificate which corresponds.

Your Module 1 pass certificate expires when the theory test certificate which you presented for the mod 1 expires.

This is only a confirmation of what Paulington says.
