And they say A levels are easier than what they used to be.

Can't think why...

Just because a university states a requirement of so many points/certain grades they will not usually decline you if you still get very close, certainly not if he missed by 1 point and still got 3 A's in the required subjects. I applied for UCL and the requirements were nowhere near 3 A's and this was for Chemistry, I find it strange they didn't want him unless the course was ram packed with genius students already.

Ram packed.. They said there's no way. He got As in: Spanish, Maths, Biology. (100% in AS, A overall) and a C in Chem. He needed a B..
I needed BBC for Loughborough, and even with an AAC they didn't let me in cause I didn't get a B in maths. They asked for a C in physics and I got a bloody A!
This year is really tough, and apparently clearing is not gonna be an option

I am monumentally happy to have gotten in. When they told me on the phone I didn't make it I was about to panic, then they told me I still had an offer.
I've already repeated my upper six once, and my stepdad is not up for paying for it again. If I didn't get into uni I'd have to get a full time minimum wage job and move out.
The cheapest apartments in Barcelona (you don't even want to walk in that area) are still crazy expensive. Like 600 euro a month. After tax I'd be earning about 1000...
BIG weight off my shoulders.
And yeah, congrats to everyone who got in!!
