i have a derbi senda drd 50. with:
70cc kit
arrow race pipe
polini 21mm carb
hebo reed block
15t front sprocket/cant remember the back

the bike recently fukd up and i have dont the following:
new crankshaft
left/right crank seal
main bearings
new 70 kit, barrel/piston/head
new throttle cable
metrakit heavy duty clutch kit as the original was slipping.
now just before going into powerband the bike splutters quite alot it has a 92 jet in which a m8 thort wud be too small but he plug chopped it and it was ok, also the clutch is slipping worse than the original,
any help would be appriciated thanks

this would get better answers in the workshop section.

anyway, the jet is far to small, you need a size 100+ jet

it sorta goes like this...

50cc = 88 (stock jet in my 50cc geared bike)
rebored (around 60cc) = 100
70cc = 110
80cc = 120

as for the clutch... if the plates are all new, i asume the springs are, did you tighten them as much as they would go?

a m8 did it all es pretty gd with bikes like, he had a go after and he said the springs may av come lose was just checkin to see if there could be any other reason cheers for the info. im just goin to buy a bigger jet better to be safe than sorry, what will happen if the jet is too big

the springs should be tightend all the way up, put abit of locktight on the screws just to make sure, but make sure its the right stuff, dont want them jammed on perm!

if the jet is too big, it will just bog down under throttle, im impressed its set up with a 92 jet, only 4 sizes bigger than stock.
