Went in '05 and it was s'ok. Again i've been given some passes so i'm taking my daughter. She can't wait and i'm resigning myself to forging a path to Lady Ga-Ga.

...Back from V.
As it was a belated B'day pressie for my daughter i left it upto her who she wanted to see. So it was Katie Perry..Ga-ga..n-dubz..dixon..taylor swift...need i go on Laughing But lucky for me, i spied Goldie Lookin' Chain touting for punters so managed to miss dizzie tosspot and ended up chanting 'Yer Muthas got a Penis' in a sweaty marquee.

Well, 2x 15 hours shifts!

Attempted to see Lady(boy) Ga Ga, the medi centre was rammed so ended up treating 'panic attacks'.

Ah well, was a giggle!

I don't think you'll be alone. A friend and I had day tickets for Weston and saw SO many very red, painful looking people sitting around drinking beer... It hurt just looking at them. There's not a great amount of shelter after they'd fenced off all the trees either!

Still interested to know what happened on the Friday night that resulted in people suffering "Cuts and bruses and broken bones" - the security guard who 'escorted' us across a field towarsd home on Sunday night had no idea...

...who said that? More details please
BTW If they hadn't fenced off the trees they'd be damaged.

Another BTW, never known so many ignorant and ill mannered people. Made a local derby footy match look relaxed. Ooo i feel a rant coming on Smile

Yep as a seasoned gig/festival go'er of 26yrs i can count on one hand the amount of times i've had to get physical (twat someone) and that includes some robust punk/noisecore/thrash gigs and this years V was tetchy at times. Being grabbed by the shoulder and pushed aside By a girl and her 3 mates during Lady Gag(sic) was abit much and she thought i was 'out of order' for pushing her aside (and her mates...picture dominoes) There was no way i was going to get split from my daughter in that crush. 2 wrongs don't make a right, but it was 1 person forcing through too many for me.
So if by a miracle she's reading this, i apologise for giving some back, but if you'd tapped me on the shoulder and said 'excuse me' i'd still of told you there wasn't any more room up front you stupid bint.

Ahhh... Better out that in.

So, you'd been up the front and knew this? Smile
In my experience, 90% of the people who claim this are packed together in a really tight spot and if you move 15m forward, there's loads more room.

Further from than that, you can tap 100 people on the shoulder and say 'excuse me' and still have missed half the people you've gone past.

If I choose to stand in a crowd, I expect physical contact. If I don't want to be knocked about a bit, or I'm with someone I don't want to be, I'll go and stand somewhere which has plenty of space all around for people to get past. Or go and sit at home, where I can be sure even the drunk people won't get me!

Mr G. I was 15ft from the barrier. I'm a big boy and expect jostling, i don't like birds with attitude giving me physical hassle tho. And just because you're in a crowd doesn't mean yer can't be civil. End Of Wink Smile
