hey chaps

got back a few days ago from a 6 day Lands End to John O Groats ride. was 6 of us that did it for charity.

i racked up over 2000 miles on my 91 GSXR which never missed a beat, i had the time of my life really was one of the best things ive ever done.

we camped a view nights and had a few in Hotels, got heavy rain in Cornwal on the first night but pretty much dry after that, must say the Highlands are so stunning and the locks are unreal. some of the best roads to ride in the UK.

we went only A and B roads on the whole trip and went all over the UK Lakes and Dales etc etc.

met some great people and made some friends for life, go ride people theres a whole world out there..

you know.....i think what a great and respectfull thing you have done! 1. for charity, 2. you got to go for a tour!!!

i would love to go to john o grotes (jelous as hell) i really hope you guys had a great time. its all about the ride and the people you ride with. friendship riding goes a long way..... agen hope you guys had a blast!

Why not plan a tour yourself? Scotland is well worth going to, much better than North Wales, less traffic to start with and better roads.

the trip was one of the best things ive ever done, there were only 6 of us that did it (all strangers) and from all walks of life, a builder (me) a nurse a soldier a water sports instructor a crazy Chelsea fan and a aircraft engineer. there was supposed to be around 20 but the others never showed up, i guess the weather put them off as it was'nt looking good lol.

it rained like a monsoon the first night at Lands end but after that we were blessed with mostly decent weather for the whole trip, i can honestly say i had the biggest smile on my face for every mile we covered, the scenery was breath taking and we only rode A and B roads, the banter and camaraderie was so much fun between us all and the dozens of other bikers we met up and down the country.

all 6 of us were together 24/7 for the week we were travelling and are all now friends for life and in contact with each other regularly and are planing our next adventure.

its not just the landscape, its the people your with and the people that you meet that make a trip like this so life changing.
