I shamefully joined in with the masses who call the AA out to change a flat tyre this morning!

I had dragged everything out of the boot (my bike kit lives in there). Got the tools out, and spent ages jumping up and down on the wheel nut wrench bar, and pulled it, and kicked it... but nothing.. aaargh! Embarassed

Thankfully the AA man turned up within 20 mins, which was amazing. I was only 10 mins late for work. Phew!

My father was similarly embarressed to call them out a few years ago. When he got a puncture he found that with a flat tyre the car was too low to get the jack under it Laughing

Could be worse. Passenger in someones van, get a puncture but it turns out they don't have a jack or wheel nut wrench in the van. Breakdown people come with tools, when its discovered that the spare wheel is actually a different size making it quite useless. Laughing

luckily ive never had to call them out, but i do remember watching my dad struggle with a wheel nut, so he put the bar on the nut, got in the car and slowly set off, worked a treat, but i wouldnt like to try it !

bloke had wrong size wheel and different amount of wheel nut holes so had to go and buy another and then a tyre to fit

wouldnt of minded so much but it was also a morris ital estate
