Broken laptop screen questions.

Hi,

Managed to smash my laptop screen, does anyone know how I can get a normal LCD monitor to work with my laptop?

As I cannot see on the laptop screen, so i'm unable to switch screens that way!

Any help would be appreciated.

Don't laptops have a normal VGA output?

If not, just go on Ebay and look for someone selling parts for your laptop or a faulty whole one.

Usually if you boot up with the monitor attached it should auto-select.
Alternativley try Fn +F4 or whatever key has the symbol of a monitor on it.

most screen the same size will fit, fairly standard connections and piss of piss today should be able to find one for £50 - £90.

Replace the screen yourself, piss easy and will take about an hour.
