just got my yamaha dt125-r, one problem, it has a hole in the expansion chamber, about the size of a 2p. I was just wondering if there is any way a garage would be able to weld some kind of metal plate over it to stop it blowing, at the moment its only hitting like 50, is it possible to do this. Its as a temporary measure till i can afford my performance pipe.

Hi

Would take it round a couple of garages, to see how much to weld it first....

They will allso tell you if the steel round the hole is good anought so it can be welded...

You will probely have to take exhaust of for them to weld it...

Have you not got any family or friends who could weld it for you a lot cheeper...

Hi

This is why i said get some quotes, A good welder will tell you straight away weather the steel is good enought to weld..

Remeber if you have it done you will have to wait 30-40 mins for the exhaust to cool down enought for you to take of you bike to have welded...

Would be suprised if any one would weld it on bike due to how close to fuel tank Heath and Safety

You probely be best start with the car garages, a lot do not do welding any more But will be able to tell you someone who does...

Best of luck
