https://news.bbc.co.uk/local/bristol/hi/people_and_places/arts_and_culture/newsid_8096000/8096891.stm

We queued for four and a half hours to get in, it was over six at the weekend. Well worth the wait.
Recomended

I didn't hear about this until yesterday from my aunt, if I can get my bike running again I might go over to Bristol and have a look, I need to check my house hasn't burnt down anyhow.

You need to get there by 10.30 in the morning to get in at 2.30 ( any latter getting in and you will not have enough time to see all the show) they close at 5 but stay open until 8 on Wed and Sat.

..yes thats how i feel about it, not so much thick(debateable) more ignorant than anything.
Went to the Liverpool Tate and was underwhelmed. A huge warehouse has loads of drapes of various shades of purple Question A thick white rope laid out (it was roped off Rolling Eyes ) I managed to kick it on my way out.

Why would I queue up to see Banksy art, there's loads within walking distance of my house?

We arrived at 11.00 and got in at 3.30, to apreciate the exhibition you need longer than the hour and a half that we had inside so I say get there as early as possible. Best option IMHO is to turn up at 6.30 in the morning and wait for the doors to open.

I also have Banksy art within walking distance of my house, namely these:

and

and

Plus many more, I also find they capture what Banksy is all about more than some exhibition.

(Don't get me wrong, I'll still go. Laughing)

We drove from Birmingham, parking is good in Bristol, we put the van in the West End (?) multi-story for £10 all day.

Saw the snipper on the way back to the motorway. I agree that his work is more fitting in its intended place rather than the gallery but it is a fun show.

Well, Little Miss has given the massive queue the all-clear, so I'll be risking it. It'd better be worth it, or I'll come looking for you Ariel! Wink

That said, even my fearsome reputation probably won't trouble someone who seems to meet so many perverts and wrong 'uns!

We get a few artists who come into the shop where I work, and yesterday one came in with his latest batch of drawings (equestrian) although 'years' ago he used to draw for 2000AD.

Anyway last time he was in he invited me to his studio - but this time, he went one better, gave me one of the prints I did of his latest work, and signed it too!!! Thumbs Up
