Newbie Bike meets ?

well ive passed my full test about a month ago and have been zipping around daily on my old cbr 600 f1 and love riding it and take the other half out on it and she loves it.

i would like to have a ride out and meet some fellow bikers and i know there are tonnes of meets a year and some locations are known for bikers,

whats normally a decent way to meet alot of them i know of some areas :

- Matlock bath at weekends are supposed to be busy for bikers

- cat and fiddle run, again supposed to be busy but heavy police pressence

- MFN, Cafe based near Nottingham on Mon and Weds


and i know some annual events ect pop up, also the "midlands section" here doesnt seem too busy with meets ect


so any reccomendations ?

Stick a post up in your local section asking if anybody fancies a ride out.

Have a look see if the local bike shop has anything organised.

Just follow random strangers around until they let you be their friends.

Well tell us exactly where you are based and that will help out a lot. The ones that you haven't mentioned in the same general area as where you are talking about are Six Hills (A46 towards Melton Mowbray or Bassetts Pole (A38 towards Sutton Coldfield) on Tuesdays, The Vic @ Coalville on a Thursday night and the New Inn @ Needwood (out the back of Burton-on-Trent) on a Sunday night.

OK SO I'M NOT A "REAL BIKER" WITH MY 125CBR (REPSOL) BUT I AINT CHAVY LITTLE DRUG DEALER RIDING A 50cc HAIRDRYER, ANYONE UP FOR A MEET?

I'M BASED IN CARLTON NOTTINGHAM JUST LOOKING FOR A FEW DAYS OUT.
