Bought some Ridge boots from J&S in may, the velcro came away from the leather side covering the zips.
I emailed Alpinestars and Luca there said they would need to inspect them and to send them to italy LOL
I was all like "nah mate i need to have some boots innit blud" he said goto J&S and get them to call me.
Went up yesterday and got the boots swapped straight away.

Good lads at J&S, Adrian i think is his name a baldy fella, always get served by him cos he dont fuck about Very Happy

That is because the sale of goods act puts the onus on the vendor to resolve any issues with the product rather than the manufacturer. Always go to the shop you bought the faulty item from before you contact the manufacturer. Even then, it is the shops responsibility to resolve the issue. If they tell you to go and contact the manufacturer, they are bullshitting you.

I'm not surprised that the shop provided you with a satisfactory resolution because if they didn't they'd be breaking the law.

They could have been difficult and said it was normal "Wear and Tear" and made a fuss about trying to get me to send them back for inspection by Alpinestars etc

But never the less marjay, you point is valid and cheers for pissing all over my recommendation for the store. Its not like the customer service there is excellent, or that they were quick and very easy to deal with and resolve my issue is it..... ?

My few experiences with J&S in Birmingham have all been really good, certainly seems like a few of the staff have no clue but they have some really knowledgeable guys there and everyone is more than happy to help.

Why was there a need to quote his whole post ? You was the first guy to reply, and you answered his statement, nothing in specific ? Confused

Was there any need to point this out? Confused

a number of reasons.

1.) Often I write a number of posts in different tabs, and consequently someone often posts before I hit submit, therefore my posts do not always make sense unless I quote the post.

2.) I use lite mode, and so the quote button is more readily available to me than the post reply button.

3.) It just provides clarity as to what I am referring to, and it means I can refer back to it as I'm typing.

does it matter that I quoted it all?

It's too dark in J&S Northwich and cluttered.
Plus point is the staff don't hassle you.
