Insurance companies are considering increasing the premiums of people who use ''social networking'' sites such as Facebook and Twitter. It is thought that the bad boys are gleaning information from these sites in order to select their targets. Personally, I think that if someone boasts about the high value, luxury items that they possess and they are then stupid enough to advertise when they are away on holiday then they deserve all the bad things that happen to them.

Only a problem for idiots who put personal information on there, don't have their privacy settings set right and accept 'friend requests' from complete strangers.

Quite frankly, if it does get to a point where insurance companies include 'are you on Facebook?' in their questions, you can simply say 'no'! Rolling Eyes

Then when you have an accident, they check to see if you are on facebook. If you are, they don't pay out.

Most definitely not, you could just claim that someone else made that Facebook account/it is your alter-ego you fictionally created because you're a sad fuck/you could delete the account the moment you crash.
