I tend to whack some on the axle before I put it back through now and again.
Can't see it hurting, I've always done it. ____________________ My Flickr |

I usually pack the speedo drive with a good dollop of LM grease and put a thin coating of copper grease on the spindle and threads.
Reasons being the speedo drive is a high movement, low load part which LM grease will lubricate nicely. The spindle is not a moving part so all you want to do is prevent it seizing in place, copper grease will do this but don't use so much that it can contaminate the grease on the moving parts. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |

Lols
Well ive done 60 miles on so far and i cant believe the difference, no more twitching on tar banding and white lines, it just roles in and out of corners and the response or flickability as some would say is awsome, everything is a lot smoother and better feeling even on theses skinny wheels, lets hope i get a few miles out of them with my big arse .

Need some new tyres on my bike, but will leave it until next spring now, winter will be along soon....
The feeling of riding on new, fresh tyres is ace, especially when your old ones are well fooked and square off ____________________
