ABS warning !

hey guys / girls.

i have a 2007 honda hornet 600, the ABS model.
my ABS light started playing up...instead of going out once you are moving (7mph i think it is?) it started flashing on and off randomly. now its decided to stay constantly on!

is this a major problem? because its my brakes, i dont want to take any chances. does anybody know what may be causing it or how to sort it out?

I suspect they probably "fail safe" and revert to conventional braking rather than ABS but I wouldn't 100% garauntee it. I did hear about some of the early BMW ABS systems suffering total brake failure when the electronics went haywire.

Check the position sensors and their connectors aren't all full of muck/corrosion/water. WD40 is your friend.
