Latest film i've watched is Taken. Thought it was a brilliant action/thriller with Neeson doing a very good job. Unrealistic yes, but didn't stop me enjoying it. Definitely worth a watch. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0936501/

Apart from this i haven't watched a decent film in ages.

Feel free to post up some new(ish) movies that are worth the watch.

Very Happy

Taken was great I enjoyed it aswell, I think it has around 500 4 and 5 star reviews on play.com...says alot really.

Juno is an absolute stonker of a movie, didn't expect it to be so good.

If your into....sourcing....your films online, theres a good copy of the Hurt Locker, only came out at cinema today, and the DVD copy is already online.

Havn't seen it yet, but it's getting very very good reviews!

It's about a bomb disposal squad in Iraq.

Watched a few recent films lately.. "sparks movies in a nutshell" reviews Laughing

Knowing

Nick Cage latest film, it's not bad, a bit unbelievable Laughing but quite entertaining and worth watching.

Adventureland

Quite liked this, typical "superbad" style film, not as good/funny as superbad etc but if you like superbad you'll probably like this. Worth watching, not amazing.

Crank 2 High Voltage

Quality Laughing deliberately unbelievable, it works... Jason Statham rocks! Don't expect a realistic action film, just expect fun, laughs and stupidness. Definetly one to watch especially if you're a Statham fan.

I Love You Man

Really liked this film, very funny at times. Laughing Bit like "knocked up" style of film, quite entertaining and lots of "laugh out loud" moments. Well worth watching! Thumbs Up

At the cinema..

Inglorius Basterds

Quality film! Bit slow at the start but when you look back over it you realise it was actually really good. Some funny moments too, good storyline and acting. Bit gory at times too. Quite long but it keeps interesting throughout, if a tad slow at times.

Street Kings...I watched it the other day, didn't expect a lot from it but yeah, thought it was a good film in the end... Thumbs Up

The Final Destination is said to be good.
Grand Torino
Englorious Basterds
District 9

Gran Torino is suprisingly good, it's kinda weird and the storyline is mildly pointless Laughing but it strangely draws you in and is definetly a good film to watch. "Get off my lawn!"

I Love You Man is pretty funny.

Watched The Wrestler last weekend. That is a briliant film.

I thought "I love you man" was shit. It was slow and boring and I had 3 other people watching it with me who thought the same, one fell asleep. I painfully watched that to the end.

I got transporter 3 out last night as they where out of crank 2. Jason Statham Drooling I wanted him to do dirty things to me in that car.
Sorry Shocked forgot myself there.
I am getting crank 2 tonight I hope.

Jason Statham is very cool in Frank Martin . This role is perfect for him !!!

"Knowing" was good. Actually freaked me out as I had no idea of what I was watching before I put it on. So I was surprised.

7 pounds was very slow and depressing.

Observe and report was ok.

Some good films mentioned there guys...Juno is a well put together piece of film, i likey.

500 days of summer is meant to be good, my missus went to see it.
If you like the guy from 3rd rock from the sun 'Joseph Gordon-Levitt' you'll like 'Brick', its a slick bit of cinema....film nior style and pretty flawless.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0393109/

Another vote for the wrestler, one of the best films ive seen in 2009.

If you want to get some Swayze in your life watch 'Point break' cult classsic with Keano reaves. Cool

I admit, i watch Dirty Dancing the other night on 5 and enjoyed it. Embarassed

If you want something serious, compelling and raw get 'monster' with Charlize Theron. Just, wow. Thumbs Up

Just got a big torrent list off this thread Very Happy

Films I have seen

21 - blackjack film
Adventureland - superbad style but not funny so it didn't work imo
District 9 - Kick ass
Knowing - Good films. Nicholas Cage is good. I always think his films will be awful but I rather enjoy them.
Observe and Report - Ok but not that good. I certainly wouldn't pay for it.
Mall Cop - Just like observe and report but a bit funnier.
Pineapple express - If you haven't seen this yet SEE IT! The best comedy for a long time.
Run fat boy run - Hardcore fan of Simon Pegg so this was a good film.
Slumdog Millionaire - good evening film, not a late night jobby

If you want films that are not particularly new check my new thread.

I too liked Juno, very good. I also like the Transporter fims, but actually for the action...rather than Jason Statham, although I do think he's fit and good to look at, and would happily watch lots of films with him in. Wink

I too like Point Break, Killa (one of my fave most watched DVD's, though I do not/did not fancy Swayze, bit old for my taste).

I will also be watching the next Final Destination, all the others were extremely good...which surprises me, as lots of sequels I find disappointing.
