came across this gadget when looking for a pc111 (which are too frikin expensive)

anyone tried them out ? just wondering, if they're so good how come i've never heard of them

Apart from quality maybe? All I can see is that it's not programmable like the PCIII is as the PCIII has thousands of maps for every bike you could imagine. Whereas that one only has 15 'generic' maps it would seem.

I however don't see how '15 sizes could fit all' so to speak.

Looks like it's just a different spin on the old resistor in a box shite. Only now they are hitting the bike market.

Is probably wired into the coolant temp sensor wire and the switches simply vary the resistance of the unit slightly.

Pointless and doesn't work though the "science" behind it is fairly convincing to people who don't understand how engine management works.

There is no point getting a power commander if you're not going to set the bike up on a dyno. If you can't use one of those to set up the bike on a dyno what is the point?

As someone said earlier, it sounds like the old variable resistor gag.

Ok, waste of money, which I thought although i was hoping that some bike mag would have some rave reviews .

on another note, i thought you could download maps with a PC III according to your bike & can ?

getting it dynoed where i live is a pain as I gotta transport the bike a couple hours away...

You can download maps but they won't suit your bike perfectly. You don't need to transport your bike to the dyno - you could ride it!

its a track bike plus its got no green book ( ie came to Thailand in parts and not been registered)

also the place is the first shop in thailand to get a bike dyno and apparantly they are still trying to figure out how to use it
