I need a new lid... mines fucked and I've dropped it countless times.

https://www.mandp.co.uk/productinfo/231200/Clothing-and-Helmets/Helmets-Full-Face/V-Can

I'm gonna go for this. Don't wanna spend a fortune and I love all black.

Question is, where can I find tinted visors for this? Like blacked out replacement visors? I know you can get the inserts but they're a pain in the arse.

I've searched google and various sites and can't find any. Anyone point me in the right direction?

That's about the closest I've found but doesn't give much away, is it a replacement visor or just an insert?

Have you tried a Can helmet on? Feels awful, materials all hard, ventilation was poor (Wasnt moving, but it didnt really have any vents) and it just felt very cheap.

You can get a Caberg for around £100, much better helmet.

Rayven seem to have a connection with Can, they share brochure.

Have a search for HJC, KBC or takachi on Busters, M&P or thefastone. Usually have a lot of clearance helmets starting at about £20, just a matter of if they have your size.

Airoh Mathisse can be got for less than £50,not a bad flip helmet.

I had problems with my Caberg, it became too loose in a short space of time to the point that it started lifting off my head.

Someone was selling AGV k2 helmets in limited sizes and colours for around £60, just can't remember who?

Isn't it the same as the lid that Aldi and Lidl sell for £40?

Same helmet, different name?

The comfiest lids i use are the Nitro, Dr. bike lids etc
I have a 200 quid shark evo line that i never used cos after 30mins of wearing it my noggin throbs.

I tried an Arai lids on while up at J&S last week and had a bit of a sex wee.

Gonna save up for that me thinks Very Happy

But so far the best fitting lids ive found are at the lower end of the price range.

Same here but with a Shoei. Its only after you try a correctly fitted helmet that you realise how bad or ill fitting others are.

Glad I made this topic now, just made me realise that I shouldn't really by trying to get the cheapest possible lid but a good quality one that's going to last and possibly save my life more so than a cheap and poorly made one.

https://www.bigbikebook.com/14908/AGV-K3-BASIC-EVIL-BLACK.html

Think I'm going to go with that...

I like the look of AVG lids, the stealth dragon white/green,
https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/product_images/agv_stealth_dragon_white_green.jpg
but alas they are the wrong shape for my head. it feels like there are two plastic strips putting loads pressure across the top of my skull. Sad

My other half bought one of those v-can ones, he wasnt sure about it but the sales guy done his job and used to right words to get the sale- wasnt really keen on it myself but hoped it would do the job.

Anyway, went up to a show today and there was a nice nitro racing lid so we bought it. Fits a lot better and is an all round nice lid. Wouldnt bother wearing the v-can one, just doesnt look as safe as others. Waste of money but nevermind. Confused

Bet that was a nice suprise getting £1000 more Laughing
