My GF uses surf the channel on her latpop , but it also keeps getting this flipping same virus. Its the only website she uses that isn't one I trust...

Sounds like someone needs some better anti-virus. STC works fine with me and AVG and ad-aware block any harmful poop.

Also...Latpop.

It's been on the torrents for months, download it and watch it at your leisure. Wink

Sounds like someone needs to learn not to tell their granny how to suck eggs.

I have AVG and Malwarebytes Anti Malware, and neither prevent reinfection. AVG is about as useful as a chocolate fireguard and won't even clean it. Malwarebytes cleans it but takes an aaage to do so. I even installed Spybot as well which has made her computer run glacially slow.

Remind me to point out all of your typos in future posts please! Laughing

Either way, the best way to prevent infection or reinfection is to not use surf the channel. She hasn't had the virus back since I told her not to use it. Neither of my machines are infected and I pretty much use the same websites plus BCF and minus surf the channel... (and she doesn't surf porn!)

Laughing But latpop was such a funny word.

Also, I'm guessing your missus DOES surf porn without your knowledge. I've found the combination of Avast, Spybot and Ad-Aware very competent, that's from previous combos including Spybot, Ad-Aware and the likes of Norton or McAffee (useless crap my mum insisted paying for).

EDIT:Maybe it's Avast! that's picking up the STC trojans. I always forget I installed both that and AVG, and the missus' latpop only has Avast! and doesn't get HIV from surf the channel.
