Hi
I seem to have a problem with my NSR125 R Build 2000.
I did a rebuild of the bike, i will give a short list.
renewed barrel, piston and bearings, replaced CDI and power valve controller rejetted the carburetor, mounted a open exhaust.
Cleaned carburettor filters on carb and in the gas tank, calibrated the power valve (it's spot on).
cylinder and piston had there running in period i have now 800KM on the clock with the new parts.
Now for the problem the bike works fine until its around 7000RPM at full throttle then it begins to stutter this sounds or feels not like when the bike is to cold and and need to warm up it's more like when you are out of gas but not that long it's just for a few puffs and then it takes off and works fine again when i give onley half throttle it does not stutter and goes slowly but nicely over the 7000RPM and then i can full throttle aal i want no probs then, it's like he's dead for a beat or two and then it's alive and kicking again, it's is always a around the 7000RPM when the power valve opens so i thought the problem would be there but i checked and rechecked, even calibrated several times it is spot on the mark so unless the markings are wrong i don't see the problem the servo is working in correct order to.
Carb is cleaned twice already so i doubt if there is any dirt in there same fore the filters in the carb and gas tank. Fitted upgrade kit from dellortho for the nsr 138,42,65 even tried a 140 main jet, also tried putting the needle in the carb on different hights (using the notches). I tried to set the pilot screw from 3 1/2 turns out to 1turn out with increments of 1/4 turn. the gas level in the floater bowl is at the required height of 24mm. Choke is working fine (got high rpm at start and when choke is put on at warm motor motor stops running). also mounted a new spark plug and the cap.
Ok try ed to explain as good as possible i hope this is clear enough for you to understand the problem, if there are any question's...
Awaiting tips and idea's from you... i hope you can help me
Kind regards,
Haoxian.
