does any one know how easy these things are to remove went out to my bike this morning and it wont disarm have tried a new battery and had the signal checked the fob is working but the unit is not. bike is now imobilised and alarm is bloody loud every timei try and do anything any help would be much app

Hi mate I have exactly the same ball ache as you wit my 996 - same alarm which flattens the battery way too fast and occaisionally goes off all by itself (embarassing) and one day I'm going to rip it out too.

I'd think that if you find where its spliced into the loom and sequentially cut it out you could slowly remove it and have a working bike at the end. I did this with my old TL-S which had a Laserline alarm which started imobilising me randomly / going off randomly.

2 top brand alarms and they have both been utterly w##k

Strangley the most reliable alarm I've ever had was a 2nd hand bloody Solalarm

you need to remove it from your loom, means following each wire to where the person fitted them to. Cut them out and reconnect wires that have been split to loop into the alarms circuit and you will be fine, really easy mate if i can do it anyone can.

they do a replacement PSB with 2 new style clear fobs, open black box, replace PSB, close box, use new fobs, easy

No its not that easy, you need to program the fob to the alarm, to do that you need the over ride code then you need to know how to use it.
