Bit of a long story. I'll keep it as short as possible.

I was out on Thursday Night at Ebbsfleet. A lad up there in a BMW 320 drift car was telling me about his other car.
He said he's got a Sierra Cosworth at home which would more than likely do my TLR in a race.

We talked about 0-60 times etc. He claimed 170mph top speed, I was saying similar for the TLR.

I didnt really think the Sierra would be fast at all.
Anyway tonight a few mates were going up Southend to a car meet. I tagged along on the TLR, And this Reece with the Cossie was there.

We headed down the M2 / A2 along with a few other fast cars, And a lad on an R1.

First big left hander onto the bypass I was hacking it, Passed the R1 and as I exited the bend, A quick mirror check and the Cossie was right on my rear tyre.

FUCK!

Bit later on we hit the A2, Side by side rolling on at around 80mph. Me and the Cossie both nail it.

I have never had such a close race with a car, Ever!

Reece put his foot down in the Cossie, and I just played catch up really, So It was a bit of an uneven start. But he was proper holding his own with the Ford.
I started to creep up on him, The Torque of the TLR meant I didnt really loose any speed while gear changing. I wasnt even shutting off the throttle, Just slipping the clutch and clicking it up into the next gear.

Gaining on the Cossie, But it was at a snails pace. After quite a run I finally passed it.

Fucking seriously SERIOUSLY fast car!

Got chatting to him at Southend. Its running around 380bhp with I think he said 300lbft torque.
I had to give it to him. He was also 3s up in the car. I think if he'd of had an empty car He'd of done me.

Then on the way home I had a bit of fun with an M3, Jap guy driving it, Quite surprised really, Jap drivers usually stick with Jap Tuning cars.

It was a fast M3 anyway, But nothing on this fucking Cosworth.

Anyway, Thats me, I'm off to bed because I'm freezing from the wind chill!

I did but at one point, I very nearly shat my self!

A Clio decided to change lanes right in front of me while I was doing around 130mph with the Cossie right behind me.

Turning a bike quickly at 100mph> is not easy! Laughing

cossies don't look fast but they're rapid.

I'd be happy to get beaten by cossie or a supra.

You can't really say whether Cossies are fast or slow or any other turbo charged car for that matter as they are so easy to tune that they're all different. A standard cossie isn't all that quick but just try to find one Laughing I used to be into my 200SXs; my first was 170bhp, my second was 230bhp plus but the fastest one in the owners club was over 650bhp all with the 1.8 litre engine Shocked Somebody racing my first would think they weren't that quick but what would you make of the 650 bhp one Laughing I'd be prepared to bet there are more Cossies running raised boost than there are standard ones on the road.

But if you had done a standing start you would have spunked it.

More than likely. He even admitted that himself. He said He's still laying rubber in 3rd gear. Which is why he wanted to do a fast roll on.

I still couldnt beleive it though, This car was fast!
He said he doesnt even bother with cars. He just enjoys racing bikes. Because they dont expect it.

R6s are his favorite. He's even had them laugh at him at the traffic lights. And then 200m up the road he's come cruising past them. And I dont dis believe it either!

And nobody seems to believe him when he says it will do your average bike. I told him to go fuck on Thursday night when he said it'll rival the TLR. Laughing

Fair play to the bloke. He's got over £25k in it though.

There are plenty of road going cossies and many other cars running the 1/4 in under 12s (takes as little as £5K of the right parts) so i wouldn't be surprised if a tuned turbo car matched a litre bike off the lights too.
