What is your MPG and what bike do you use to get it, also do you rag it/take things easy.

No idea, it tends to change, one week I'll barely use my bike and it'll be drinking petrol then a week later I'll go on a mission all week and it'll last.

I get about 56 mpg out of my CBR600 which seems remarkably good but I always get good fuel economy out my vehicles because I'm an anal twat. That said, I rarely use the revs, tend to short shift, even on a blast as I don't go quick on the straights, just speed up for the corners Good way to avoid points

Other advantage of not always redlining it is that when I do it still feels fast, you don't get bored of the power so quickly.

Bandit 6: about 40-45mpg. Less if I really cane the tits off of it.
Chinese 125: 100mpg ish. Kinda hard to make it deviate from that, really. I put a tenner in every 200 miles, and it's not conked out from fuel starvation yet...

Always between 65 & 70 mpg.

As per a couple above. I seem to have a knack of getting best mpg out of it.
You see people wind the throttle wide open off the lights or when entering a NSL. Yet they will only be about 10 yds further on.
Yet just rolling it open less that a quarter and short shifting (under 4K revs) get me off the line faster than most cars. In fact they really have to be trying reving the nuts off even to match you, upto the speed limit.

Sub 6.5K revs is legal limit, still leaves 4K revs should the need arise. But often backing off is safer than winding it on.

Reading the road ahead, so you are not having to brake at lights to a stop. Then set off again. Just cruise upto them and carry on

I used to fill up the 1989 cg125 every 6 months... it had some stupid mpg but I suppose thats when new...but still...

I get about 90mpg out of my 125, fairly small tank too, holds 8 litres and can still do about 170 - 180 miles on one tank

Forgot to mention the fact i don't rag my bike whatsoever, i keep her nice and steady and don't overdo things.

If i'm down a long straight or on the dual carriageway, then i'm obviously gonna be twisting that throttle pretty hard, get high revs out of 3rd gear when overtaking lorries

Pretty much all my 125 can over take

What actually is the highest mpg on a big engined bike? On average it's about 50 i'd say

I dunno how many MPG but it supposedly does 140 miles to the tank. I normally get to about 100 an refill. Costs about a tenner to refill from the 100 mile mark. About £15 to fill if I've been pushing it in the reserve.

I get (or used to get before the engine started dying) 100MPG from my 2004 CG125, which meant about 200+ mile range on my 10 litre tank.

What amazes me though is that when I go on 200 mile journeys it really does just use one tank of fuel when I'm going 65MPH + really trying to push the engine to it's maximum revs constantly. It makes me suspect if I were just driving at sensible speeds it might get more than 100MPG? Especially if I were cruising at lower revs in 5th gear (45 - 50MPH maybe)?

And by the way my engine isn't dying because of constantly travelling at it's maximum speed.

A dismal 40mpg from the TZR but to ride it sensibly would defeat the point of owning it.

I've been taking it easy of late and have been managing +50mpg

I think this is quite good for a litre v-twin, mostly motorway 40 miles each way commute at approx 80mph.

I have had 52mpg out of it and after it's major service next week (valve clearances, throttle body synch etc...) I hope I can get 52mpg consistently.

Get about 55mpg when riding sensibly on the TT, yet only about 37mpg when riding like a cnut-hole.
The 125 gets me closer to 100mpg, and since the fuel prices are rising again, it might become my main transport.

Nope, good old carbs

I tend to carry pretty good speed through corners, although I'm not confident to use high lean angles, i know the bike can go alot lower and faster, but I'm not comfortable doing that yet.
