Just went to Tesco literally 20 minutes ago, entered the car park and just round the blind bend as you enter, i found a twat of a woman in a car driving on the wrong side of the road! I had to brake pretty sharp.

It's just like a normal road all around the car park, even arrows on each side! If you drive, then you must have a license, and if you have a license, you should no what fucking side of the road to be on!

What also took the piss was how she sat there just waving her hands in the window, she was obviously ranting and raving at me as if i was in the wrong! Evil or Very Mad

A guy on the "correct" side of the road tooted to her as if to say "what the fuck are you doing" and she moved onto the left hand side. I just shook my head as she went past...

The guy who tooted was laughing and pointed at her car and done the wanker sign Laughing

That cheered me up a bit and made me feel better Very Happy

Anyone else been in a stupid situation like this?

Every time i'm on the bike something like this happens.

Can remember going to work one day, pulled into the car park and a car just reversed out of a space in front of me, then looked blankly at me as if to say 'move, you're in my way'

I just sat there and looked back... and he had to do a 2 point turn to manouvre around me.

my boss was sitting outside having a fag and just laughed.

Things like this happen all the time when i'm working, let alone on the bike.

I remember the good old days where people used to have common courtesy and moved over when you were passing parked cars, indicating, obviously moving slow because of the hill and things like that.

Now it's wait for oncoming cars to pass before overtaking parked cars, with the car behind beeping at you as you are not forcing your way through.

Sit waiting to pull out/change lane or something similar.

Driving up a steep hill, car behind beeping and flashing eventually overtook on solid white lines. Was struggling up Sutton Bank doing 37ph in a Peugeot Partner.

As for them arrows in carparks, i always expect people not to look at them. Numerous times I stop just before one and point to it in a big sarcastic and very patronizing way.

Funny enough the women was actually black. I live in Peterborough, and there are no end of foreign people around. I posted a topic not long ago about a foreign twat on his push bike on a roundabout...

I don't want to come across as racist, but it's mainly the foreign people that are making the mistakes.

I always go by what my CBT instructor told me, "always treat everyone else on the road as a fucking idiot"

That way your more aware.

Cheers for the replies guys, keep 'em coming Thumbs Up

If you have priority then fuck 'em.

Problem with the OP, is that as much as the cager seemed at fault - if he'd been riding to the conditions it wouldn't have been such a drama.

My children still remind me of the "old twat" who at a complicated dual-carriageway traffic light junction indicated right and then tried to drive head on into us as we sat at the red light waiting to turn right in the right turn filter lane.

And of the "stupid old bat" who thought she could turn right onto the dual carriageway by crossing the central reservation using the right turn only filter lane in the dual carriageway itself.

Of course we were in the wrong...

If/when I get to that age I will gladly take my bus pass and/or free taxi tokens and let someone else drive me everywhere.

Call me paranoid but if that was aimed at me; I was only saying in the OP the poster wasn't riding to the conditions.

I've been in many of my own incidents which weren't my fault but it's a fact of life, hardly news to grace BCF with. Laughing

Just in, had a really close one Laughing

The ground is wet so i'm not going too quick, the CG's brakes are bad enough in the dry.

So i'm doing about 20 in a 30 with a VW golf practically humping my rear tyre...

Came to turn in to my street and the guy musn't have been looking, because when i started to brake, he had to swerve dramtically to miss me.

Prick.

That's my near death experience for the day Thumbs Up

Wonder what tomorrow will bring Rolling Eyes

Of course things like this happen to me every single time I'm on the road but I do remember one day more clearly than others.

The very centre of my town there's an awesome hill in the middle of a complicated one way system. Anyway, you go down the hill and at the bottom it bends 90 degrees to the left as you reach 30MPH pretty damn quickly. I was doing this corner like I had done many times before and just before I got to the corner there was a young girl (say approx. 7 years old?) skipping in the middle of the road! I've already hit 30MPH and so my options are to either go forward in to a brick wall, try to do an emergency stop while going around a sharp corner (resulting in falling off for sure) or just hit her.

Well as soon as she saw me she jumped up with a kind of shocked expression that turned in to a laugh as she ran back to the pavement - so she clearly knew she shouldn't have been there. Stupid parents not looking after their kids.

So I carry on down this one way road and almost immediately get hit by an elderly woman cyclist coming the WRONG WAY down the road towards me. That isn't a day I'll forget any time soon.

So you see, it's not always car drivers that are the idiots. It's people in general.

I hate situations like that, when a car is right up your arse. I was going 30 through a 30 as i was approaching some speed cameras, and there was a stupid chav in his pimped up Corsa basically as you put it "humping my rear tyre" and the driver and his little squad of hard nuts in the back were loving the fact they were irritating me, as i kept looking in the mirror.

Once i passed the camera they overtook me, all looking out the back laughing. I just pray that the camera got them Laughing

I agree with you though mate, you never no what the next day will bring

Alexio, that's a pretty unlucky day.

I've had my time with an idiotic cyclist. Won't forget it.

As for the girl, she's lucky to be alive, imagine a fucking 4 tonne lorry coming round the bend, doubt she'd be laughing then...

Neither would her shit parents.

Taxi drivers are one my pet hates, absolute bunch of wankers up here. They go into wrong lane beside you at the lights so they can over take you... I make sure they don't though Laughing Tossers. Nearly knocked my brother off his 'ped once as well, and so I was walking with him to the shop once and he saw the same taxi driving past and threw his sandwich at it. Revenge!

I went with my mate's girlfriend to get her back from her CBT, she had a ped so i was sticking to about 35ish.

Shes mental though so she was filtering Laughing obviously seen people do it and wanted to try.

We pulled up at the lights, me behind her and a taxi pulls up beside me in the bus lane.

Since she's in the right lane she goes from the lights and the taxi driver wedges between me and her, staying inches from her trying to get past... So i gunned it, overtook him and slowed down to about 15mph while she thundered away at 30 Twisted Evil

Pissed him off quite a bit.

I love messing with people.

Also saw someone else on L plates on a CBR125 stall at the lights, then try to pull away slowly, but stalled again. Obviously not very confident. The taxi behind him beeping and revving wasn't helping the poor guy, so i did the same as above, pulled between him and the taxi which probably gave him a bit more confidence (as i see it anyway) till the chap got started up and got moving, then i pulled of at a mighty speed of 5mph to piss him off, turned around, gave him the finger
Mr. Green Middle Finger
And caught up to the dude on the CBR125, had a wee chat at the next traffic lights.

Anyone ever Intentionally stalled at lights to piss people off?

It's better when your bike only has a kickstart Twisted Evil

That has to be one of the best things i've read on here in a while. Brilliant example of a biker helping out another.

What would you do in that situation though?

The same i'd hope Laughing

Just don't want someone's introduction to biking ruined because of some extremely overweight slob who thinks he rules the road.

Going from an RS125 to a ZX6R I seem to have developed spidey senses. Even the slightest movement anywhere in my peripheral vision and I've clocked it and ready to respond incase anything happens.

That aside, sometimes, you get the odd wanker just blatantly not even looking where they're going and pulling out of streets or just driving straight across mini round abouts.

I swear, I have been watching how other people check what's coming and it's worrying that loads of people simply don't look both ways when emerging from side roads/junctions.

Its rediculous how bad it is these days, I rode a mile home from my mates house today and had 2 people pull out infront of me, first guy just stopped on my side of the road, i flashed him to carry on since i'd already stopped(lucky i was fucking paying attention) Twisted Evil, instead he reverses back in, then 100 yards up the road some lady in a huge volvo pulls out of a left hand junction and just drives down my side of the road before she finishes the turn, meaning i have to move over to the curb to avoid her, didn't even apologise, atleast the taxi knew he was in the wrong Evil or Very Mad

Car drivers are like Flu, its pretty much inevitable you'll encounter idiotic drivers, but try to avoid them. Just treat everyone on the road as stupid and stay well away from them. Works for me.
