Bit of a random thread but reading through the previous threads it's obvious quite a few people on here have guitars.Am still in the beginner stages myself but after purchasing a rather nice Jackson guitar and Peavey amp today to replace the sh1t I had before I finally decided to have a crack at Ozzy's "crazy train",going quite well until i got to the solo thats tapped and pulled and now I'm struggling, but enjoying it none the less.So out of curiosity what song do you enjoy playing most,on what guitar and what do you plan on learning next?

Mine at present is....

-Clapton-Tears in heaven
-Acoustic
-Next song-Will have a better idea once I've done crazy train

I pretty much enjoy playing anything that Papa Het wrote. (Master of puppets especially) Especially as my pod 2.0 has fixed itself. And I should have a Line 6 UX1 next week.

Death Magnetic is next now I have the tab book. Cool (Well I have a pdf of the book I found on btjunkie).

I really love playing songs by Muse on the guitar, but I have hundreds of songs in my head normally. But I started playing because of Muse and definitely still enjoy playing those songs the most.

I'm on youtube.... but I'm definitely not linking to myself Cool

Still a bass player at heart, but my favourite guitar noodling sessions :-

The Who - Pinball Wizard, from Tommy
Pink Floyd - Goodbye Blue Sky, from The Wall
Pink Floyd - Is There Anybody Out There?, from The Wall
Theme from "Hammy Hamster's Tales of the Riverbank"

And when I fancy a jam session, I put Sky's albums 1-5 on shuffle Thumbs Up

I play mostly on a Yamaha Pacifica 112, but the wife's just bought an Ibanez classical which I've half-inched Smile

I've never got into doing other peoples songs..dunno why...just more fun doing original stuff maybe. Some good learning to be had by doing covers tho.
Here's what i did for some BCF drummer https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=176565&highlight=apologies
No retakes just hit record and jam.

Happy Blisters

At the moment I love love love playing this song:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8yM5odbEOk

It's a very busy song, certainly challenging, I'm still working on some parts in the middle. It's just got everything really!

Other than that I find Trivium both fun to play and testing as well. Master of Puppets is also a great song to play that isn't too difficult once you know your way around a fretboard. I really should have a go at some death magnetic stuff.

Im 17, but i'm still into a lot of older stuff...

Hendrix stuff is solid but when you get into it they sound amazing.

Stairway is by far my favourite... The number of people able to play it is decreasing Laughing Cool

I enjoy playing some of jose gonzalez's stuff, he's pretty good.

I particularly enjoy 'heartbeats'
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4_4abCWw-w

Anything that sounds like that, i'll want to play.

Crazy train is a good one too Laughing

'the drugs don't work' by the verve - fecking fantastic song when you can sing it too...

sweet child of mine, too.

I've got various guitars from my days of learning and playing - I have 2 crappy acoustics, 2 electrics, and a really nice fender acoustic.

Lovely sound i get from it...

Next song i plan on learning is one i'm writing Laughing

Need a song that i can say to any girl 'i wrote you a song' and just use the same one each time....

Dunc

Ah, the best song I ever wrote was for a girl, but I seriously don't think I could ever just substitute another girls name in there - it just wouldn't work. Also, it cuts too deep...

I'm also a big fan of playing a bit of the zepp, use to enjoy playing no more tears by ozzy but i havent played it for so long i cant remember the solo Crying or Very sad ! I have also been trying to learn Jonny B' Goode for about 3 years lol, i'm gettin there Laughing
The thing i find is that i can usually guess how to play songs but always hit a wall when it comes to the solo when i get bored and just go and play something i can aleady play.
Whilst on the subject, Electric funeral is a really easy song to pick up, not really much of a solo though Sad

Anything by HMHB - simple but fun.

Getting Better by Shed 7 is very satisfying to play. I'm giving away my age a bit here.
