We supplement his natural diet of squirrels, hedgerow birds, house/field mice, and frogs .... with IAMS.

As you can see .. he is 'The Daddy':

Ours gets Whiskas and Go-Cat.

Used to be Purina One, but I stopped loving the cat some years ago.

Aldi are doing an offer, 9p for a pot of cat food, looks just like that sheba stuff off tv.

When it's feeling down, a gram of coke gets it going again.

Half Hill's Science Plan and half whatever is on sale when I'm shopping.

And whatever takeout leftovers there are. Chicken kebab is the favourite at the moment, followed by prawns out of the Special Chow Mein and Chicken Tikka.

I feed left over Dominos to my neighbours cat, along with anything else that's around when it decides to come in my house.

Feeding jalapeno peppers to wild life is amusing.

Mingles used to be a fussy bugger, turned his nose up at all sorts of things, one week he would eat something, the next he would refuse (although he never refused cod from the chip shop, I noticed!)

These two new ones, though, they've obviously been kept hungry, though, cos they even eat "supermeat", urgh, even I think it smells disgusting. So happily ... I just put something down and they scoff it.

I think at present they've got tins of Whiskas mixed "fish in jelly", and Tesco "Premium catbiscuits", I think they're pretty chuffed with that. I'm chuffed they eat anything, instead of trying to find something that they'll eat, like Mingles. I used to worry he would starve (fat chance! LOL)

Every so often I give them a handful of the hairball catbiscuits that I bought for Mingles at great cost (£20 a 2kg bag!!!), cos they're mildly fluffy, but not quite as fluffy as my handsome Minglucciano was. Cool

Doris growls while she's eating, though. Poor Brutus gets a bit freaked when Doris growls (even though she's smaller than he is) ... so I sometimes have to put his plate out in the hallway.

The mistake I've made all these years is feeding cats (a) soon as I wake up and (b) soon as I get home from work. Then they're always under me feet soon as I get in the house. But these two have to wait, I just randomly decide to feed them, not any set dinner time, that way they're more grateful.

After having really bad skin problems (sores all over and crusty skin) and losing fur on her back robby off here suggested improving my cats food quality so l switch from cheap felix to half a bowl of whiskers top up with broad range of fresh meat/fish. Helped quite a lot along with skin treatment, happy healthy kitty now Thumbs Up

We discovered fairly recently that ours has heart and kidney problems developing so the bugger is on some low fat/low phosphate specialised diet from now on. About 79p a pouch!! Shocked
And that is the cheapest we can find it anywhere, even bought in bulk Thumbs Down

Tom is fed what she wants! She goes through phases of liking certain foods, and then she refuses to touch it! At the moment she is on a rather posh menu, the gourmet food (for cats) lol
She does have an addiction though to the whiskas biscuits, she hears a rattle and thinks its biscuits, go anywhere near them and shes there waiting lol

Anyway, here she is Razz

Mine are still on Royal Canin Kitten food, as that's what they were started on by the breeder and I then bought in bulk online to save on postage (yeah I know but it made sense at the time! Rolling Eyes ).

They get the kibble down in dishes and then a pouch between them once in the morning and then again in the evening when it's curfew time! They have little poncey metal dishes (from the breeder) that make a hell of a noise when banged together and they'll come running from however far they've roamed too - sounds like a stampede Shocked

The 'now not so little' colourpoint was renamed the 'Bat Fastard' he's gotten so big and they're only just over the year old!

https://i498.photobucket.com/albums/rr344/Tonkatoo_2008/th_DSC00531.jpg

I wish I hadn't started feeding them breakfast, as they jump all over me from about 5am - note ask Hellkat for advice next time! It's great for getting them in for the night though, so I'm pleased with that little trick.

Makes me laugh "My cat wont eat this food.".

Give the manipulative wee bugger 3 days of nothing else and it'll eat it. If you don't like it, go catch a mouse.

I have clients whose cats have trained them to buy rotissery chickens from Tescos.

Lets face it. Cats can't have that well developed a sense of taste, they lick their own arses ffs.

Tonka. Kitten food at 12 months old will give you overweight, unhealthy cats. WAY too many calories in it.

Our just has some stuff we pick up at pets at home, then we leave out some webbox dry food we get from the pound shop.

We've also gained another cat over the last week or two. She's just moved in, walked in the cat flap one day, and seems to like the place. Has taken to sleeping round our in the spare room now.

Thank you! Thumbs Up It's the up to 12 months stuff rather than the Baby Cat and there's about a week's food left, then time to have a re-think as to what next as RC is too expensive for two big cats. I feed the ferals Tesco's stuff, so I think that they can all change to that along with whatever pouches are on offer.

The cat's are learning pretty quick that if they don't eat their pouch food up the dog gets it so that tends to focus them a little bit more - can't have it hanging about as there are too many flies about Sick

....... Rolling Eyes I know dog's shouldn't eat cat food either, but it's rarely more than a couple of chunks minus jelly!!

Lurve the Simon's Cat, Hellkat! I had 'words' with my Fat Cat this morning, as he did something very similar - he get's 'scruffed' out the room though Evil or Very Mad

James Wellbeloved is the comercial version of Royal Canin. Not the cheapest but cheaper.
