Recently I have been buying quite a few items of motorcycle clothing and I now have options of what I can wear when I go out instead of the same old smelly 2 piece textile suit.

And I was just wondering what bike gear you all have....

A 2 piece set of leathers tha I hardly wear the bottoms.

A 2 piece set of Textiles. I commute in the bottoms and either the jacket or my leather jacket.

A 1 piece Arlen Ness suit for the track or if I wanna go out and play.

A Suomy helmet.

2 pairs of boots, one to commute, and a nice pair of oxtars.

2 pairs of gloves, some nice Richa summer ones, and some big 'orrible winter ones. Also a back protecter, earlpugs etc.
Gotta have the right gear. Can't ride fast unless I'm in full leathers, rarely wear them on the road for that reason, I feel a bit invincable.

Leather jacket and trousers, textile jacket and trousers for those wet and cold days and two pair of kevlar jeans with a protective smart looking bomber style bike jacket along with the usual boots and gloves. Oh and a gortex neck tube which I think is a must for keeping the chill out.

The latest 'what gear do you have' thread can be found at around page 3 of the General Bike Chat section.

EDIT: My mistake, it's around a third way down the first page...

Where? Confused

Oh and posts with stock pics of every item of gear are pointless and annoying.

Arrow Two sets of 2-piece power-ranger-ness
Arrow Armoured textile pants and jacket
Arrow Scratty old rally jacket
Arrow Para boots, waterproof ankle boots and some hardly worn 'race' (blister-spaz-walk) boots
Arrow 2 lids
Arrow 6 pairs of gloves, from low-wrist thin enduro gloves to padded lobster claws

That's all I need I think.

Apart from gloves, a girl can never have enough pairs of gloves Mr. Green

Loads, depending on the weather and the season.

Was very expensive when I first got in to biking 5 years back, but now only 1 or 2 items needs changing each year.

Its rediculous how much money we actually wear, clothes wise i'm a Marks & Spencers / Matallan sort of person ie jeans and a t-shirt £50.

But bike gear. Your wearing around £800 , every time you leave the house, think about it, Helmet £250, Gloves £100, Boots £170, Jacket £150, Trousers £130, Back Protector £50.

Plus we have different gloves, jackets for the seasons.

Think about the cost of visors ie £35 and pinlocks £20. I spend a f***ing fortune. Then there's the petrol (I do about 8K), 2 lots of insurance, 2 lots of tax, 2 lots of servicing, 2 lots of various mods. Tyres. (Do you think when driving the car, you are wondering how crap your Dunlops are and should you get them changed for some Bridgestones). Biking is sooo not cheap.

To have fun on a bike is cheaper than in a car though!

CG125 + CBT + Insurance + Gear = £1500

Whats the opinion on Textile Vs Leather? Is one better than the other? I Currently have textile as it was cheaper, but next year plan to get leathers.

Too right, I started riding not too long ago and have just got over the first gear hurdle.

Arrow Shoei Raid II
Arrow Frank Thomas leather jacket, Blade I think
Arrow Frank Thomas leather trousers, match the jacket!
Arrow Hein Gericke leather boots
Arrow Triumph something~tex gloves

And for waterproof stuff, I switch the leathers for my Hein Gericke Craig 2 textile set. I'm such a girl with matching outfits Sad
