test change???

rite ive read on many threads about the test format being changed, getting rid of das and only allowing a 2 year restriction?

anyone know officailly? or is this just speculation??

(my most humble apologies if this has been discussed recently, but i am a lazy cnut and havent searched)

not sure about scrapping das. heard of it before tho

I havent heard much about the DAS becoming restricted. But hopefully they wont scrap it, though the test itself is now a two part test format- module one and two if thats what you mean?

When I heard about the test being changed into the 2 module system that we now have. I hunted for ages & couldn't find any information on what would happen to the DAS with the test change.

So emailed the DSA (months before the new test system was introduced) and the reply said the road test was being changed but this would have no effect on the Direct Access Scheme apart from doing 2 test modules instead of the old 1, which is true since im now doing my DAS .

So unless they've changed their minds again I doubt it, unless its confirmed in a press release from the DSA I wouldn't worry about it. Their pretty quick at emailing back if you want piece of mind.

no i know about the 2 module system, just heard people talking about the dsa scraping DAS as it was considered dangerous to let people loose on big bikes without much experience, sounds much like the dsa/government to me, restrict everyone from everything/nanny state and all that

just cant decide over doing the a2 or the das, good to know i have plenty of time to decide, cheers people

You will resent yourself if you do the A2 test.
