I've noticed it before in another thread, but saw another photo earlier that reminded me.

There's what looks like a fuel filler cap at the back of the seat.

Are GSE Racing storing fuel under the seat, or is it for something else?

Just highlighted what I mean in a picture (does it show I'm bored?).

there is no room under the seat though because of the underseat pipes that come up from the middle, odd.

It IS the fuel filler cap,the tank drops below the riders seat for a lower centre of gravity.

The exhausts run under the tank,google the images and you can see it quite clearly,that's why there is no filler cap on the tank,it's a dummy tank,race bikes have used similar tanks for years in the Suzuka 8 hour for instance.

EDIT:From googling it again,the exhausts actually run down the side of the tank on the right hand side.

Seems to be the norm on the race spec R1s this year, the WSB Sterilgarda R1s are the same.
