Hi newbie to the forums here with of course... A problem Sad

Thanks to the wonderfukl folk at the dvla thinking it was a good idea to lose my motorcycle pass on my lisence i decided to get a chinese 125 to see me through to getting my license again.

Right so good so far but it is now due an mot and the hazards flash 9 times when the rear brake is applied. Been as how I always rode chops or lowriders many moons ago I thought this was a new fangled hi tech gizmo.... Rolling Eyes

Nope its a bloody failed mot is what it is. I tried playing with the wiring at the tail section and at the brake. Because it is flashing an exact number of times I figure there is a relay somewhere.

Any Ideas from the gods of electricothingummybob? Or has anyone come across this please?

Does the bike have an alarm fitted? Does it happened on the front and the rear brake?

I guess the only way of really investigating would to to take a look at the wiring, see if there is anything patched in.

No no alarm fitted. I have checked the wiring at the brake and the tail lights but I guess I need to get the tank and seats of and trace it see if there is a relay or someithing between?

Thanks

Barrie

there will be a relay mate if you have a quiet garage to work in turn ignition on and operate inicators the relay will make a destinctive relay clicking sound you might be able to figure out where clicking is coming from most likely is by the battery carrier or under the tank fitted to the headstock hope this helps
