any good? i'm going to be travelling on the motorway a bit and the pooperdream cant handle it so what are the fzrs like on them? one came up pretty cheap (<500) so would it be worth buying? what are they like for reliability?

By all accounts, they are very nice to ride, very good in terms of handling.

I know the FZR1000 is very reliable but sometimes looses second gear. Not sure how comparable the engines are. I'd check it gets all the gears in any case.

alright cool Smile thanks for the advice. i'll test ride it before purchase of course as its mot has just run out (so just up and down the road) and it'll need another one but i have the cb to pootle around on until i do it up.

Which one is it, people think this covers one model when infact it can cover many, is it the 1st fzr without the hoover tubes? Let me know.

Gear box is the weakpoint but the rest of the bike is great, if yours is the 2nd model like mine blue spot brakes fit straight on for upgraded brakes and theres plenty of mods.

Wasn't the ZXR the one that had the hoover tubes? Don't think I've seen an FZR with 'em Confused

What Blue said, but with all that aside my 88 model was great and the best bike i've owned so far, though i havent owned many.
