Motorcycle Courier Recommendations Please?

Hi all,

I need to get a bike collected from Folkestone and delivered to Blackburn, Lancashire.

Can anyone recommend a good, keenly priced, reliable bike delivery service?

I`m not a bike delivery service or a courier but if you pay my train fare there,plus petrol cotsts for the bike,and £50 for my time....i`ll go and get it for you.
having said that it depends what bike it is.If it`s a ped,a 50,or a 125 ......forget it Laughing

Try getting a folkestone or blackburn local paper,then look in the classified ads and see if there`s any of those "1 man and a van" services .
Wont do any harm to ask for quotes. Wink

I`ve used a couple for removals and they usually cost about £20 per hour+mileage.

better still....get the train there yourself and ride it back?

£67 for a single from Preston. Although I guess that is using the 16-25 year old railcard.

The only time I had a bike delivered to me I think it was some kind of company like parcel force oddly enough, although I could be remembering that wrong...

Anyway, it cost me £80 for a "pallet", which contained the bike securely inside. You could check one of those overnight pallet / business delivery services but you might not be able to trust them to take care of the bike as it's thrown about in the back of a lorry.

hi,
i can recommend scott wood, who advertises on ebay under various names including sw_couriers.
another company i have used is alpha couriers. (also on ebay)
both were extremely reliable & reasonably priced.
most i have ever paid is £140, & that was from southampton to stirling, (north of glasgow for those who dont know,lol) within a couple of days.
alpha couriers is run by a very nice chap (cant remember his name now) who done me a good deal for cash on delivery.
scott is a decent bloke too.
i usualy pay around £75-£100, but thats for bikes coming up from midlands or a bit further south.
