Reccomend some rides.

I've got about 8-10grand to spend on a bike, well... as of christmas i will, so im after a new(to me) bike.

I don't want a bike every other person rides, so to me that rules out zxrgsxrcbrzzr stuff, and im not overly bothered by the CC of it either. What i do want is a bike that is 100% fun factor, is 'cool' and a bit unique and can have loads of tarty bits lobbed at it.

Any suggestions?

Im thinking a CB1000R at the moment but it's a honda... so im thinking a speed triple, but theyre becoming a bit common.

One bike well up the line up is the naked aprilia RSV (Falco? sorry its name evades me at the moment) any other reccomedations?

I fancy an nsr250 sp or similar but id rather do without constant rebuilds.

Thanks lads excellent suggestions, i've been contmplating a benelli cafe racer they really do look and sound amazing however i expect parts are the biggest bitch.

Harold, my past bikes have been tools to learn on, i've taken my time (although im only 19 with 2 years riding experience) so i figured it was time to treat myself to something proper.

buying multiple bikes seems like a clever idea i must admit, i certainly hadnt considered that.

RC8, unless it has a different engine in some way from the standard IL4 is just another sports bike in my eyes... sorry to say

Oh yarri btw, cars do absolutly nothing for me, theyre a means of getting from point a-b in comfort also i have the problem with performance. i car for 10 grand will never be half as good as a bike for the same money as far as performance goes.

If I had a few quid spare and wanted something a little different, probably buy a classic bike of some sort.

If it`s just for fun i`d reccomend an aprilia rsvr factory.You could get a late model with low miles for under 10k and it`ll have all the coolness and bling you`re after without the need for loads of mods.

I must admit though i agree with ste.If i had 10k to burn i`d also try and get 2-3 bikes.One for weekend posing and the others for day to day stuff.
If you don`t drive a car.....you`ll deffo need more than 1 bike.I`ve learned that the hard way

TBH before I started coming on BCF I would've easily found a sexy bike to throw 10k at, but now all I want is a cheap, old reliable commuter, un-tastfully modified (read: fairings removed and painted matt black). As soon as I sell my TT, I am buying 2 cheaper bikes.

Right lads thanks for the help i've decided you lot are right in saying buy multiple bikes, that way i can have a bit of everything.

So, i'm looking at an NSR250 or RS250, perhaps even the larger NS400 if one was cheap enough. Then im after a sports naked, and for that i think im going to settle on something like a duke, or MV or similar.

Now the problem is that doesnt likely leave me with THAT much but i'd like to go out and buy a full faired sports tourer for every day riding and long distances, so im going to see about a vfr800 or the older 750 models.

Think my minds made up, now i need to start looking around.
