So BCF, after weeks of googling, searching on discogs and humming the freakin’ tune to myself I turn to you…

The track was from the mid/early 80’s (I’d say ’83-’85) and had a pop/R ‘n B groove - I’m pretty sure it was sung by a group of approximately 6-8 teenagers (both male and female) and contained lyrical jibes at the adult population for not practicing what they preach...

‘...you send us all to school just to learn your rules but your teachers all walk out.’

‘…You’re always spending more on instruments of war but you say that murder isn’t right…’

The chorus was something along the lines of the following…

‘The solution to the problem we can work it out’

…which was repeated over ‘n over.

I’d better make it clear, it’s not a good tune but I’ve discussed it with friends, family and work colleagues and no-one can remember it at all. I’m sure that I purchased it on 12” (hey give me a break, I was young then Shocked ) but at the moment I can’t find any proof of its’ existence at all – any BCF old skoolers remember it and the name of the group who performed it or even (for the sake of my sanity!) confirm that it existed?

Thumbs Up

Shocked

Six years of BCF Membership and I've never seen the readership stumped (Apathetic? Yes, stumped? Never Wink ). To make it worse Claire then twists the knife by 'asking her Dad' thus implying that I'm some doddering old codger having a senile dementia inflicted senior moment Wink

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
