Anyone ever put a bike on the back of this? (Skoda van)

I'm thinking of getting one, it looks like a pretty decent car/van type thing, can be used for day to day use, and has 2 rear foldout seats if I need them...

But...

Would I be able to fit a bike (or 2) on it?

I've seen 2 bikes go on the back of a Proton Jumbuck and that looks a similar size.

From looking at a local one, the rear of the bike would have to be on the rear flap as the actual bed is too short..

So, would I get 2 bikes on it?

yeah you could put bikes on it maybe 2 but you need to make sure you strap it right down right or you will lose them off the back

erm, it could do, probs wanna be a bit longer?? failing that, TRAILER!
But then again, im not there so cant gauge the size.
If you can happily fit a single bike on there, fair play!
Personally i would recommend a trailer, only due to the mass possibilites (mates break down/crash/track days)

JD - I already have a trailer, but was planning some trackdays abroad and the van would be so much easier on the ferry + long distances!

Also, if you like the outside yellow, you should see the interior, black and yellow leather....yellow dash insutruments

I like the rear seats tho, you just pull the back of the cab out, pretty cool idea -

The TLR is quite long wheelbased isn't it? Ideally I would want to get 2 bikes on, did you try the TL on straight?

You'd get two bikes on that easy, just need to add some extra tie down points, eye bolts with suitable steel plate on the other side to spread the pressure. Not sure how putting extra tie down points in the bed would work with the sliding out seats.

Are those things 4x4?

Get a van. More room for kit. (where are you going to put your tools, WOW, leathers, food etc. etc.)

I've got a yellow Transit. Year 2000 £1500. Job's a good 'un.

Don't piss about, do it properly.

(And the bike doesn't get covered in filth when it rains. )
