Some time next year, Terry will leave Radio 2 so that Chris takes over the morning show. It's going to be a little strange having Mr Evans grace my helmet with his presence (ooo er!) on those cold misty mornings. I will miss Terry warming my cockles with his excellent witty banter, which I seem to feel more receptive to in the morning. Does anyone else here care at all?

I don't think Wogan is going to the evening slot.

Maybe listeners will actually get to hear a song now instead of Wogan yakking shite all over the track.

(I only hear it because Metallica are not appreciated by the rest of the staff in the lab, all who are 35+).

That twat Kennedy already put me off Radio 2 in the morning, Evans would push the switch on time to 9:30.

Well that is top of the class for any DJ then.......

TW is not swopping with CE.

Evans is taking over from Wogan, who is then going to do a weekend show in the new year.

I still find Wogan funny that time he did Points Of View.
Not for anything he said, purely becuase you could see his cock through his trousers.

As he said on his show, next time he wears moleskin trousers he will remove the mole before putting them on.

I only care insofar as I listen to Radio 2 the most during the day, as on basic radio it has the most inoffensive music.

Thankfully I don't get up early enough for Sarah Kennedy anymore Thumbs Up

Wogan can be a lot to tolerate these days to be honest, I don't find him witty for the most part, I just hear him wibbling on about complete bollocks and not playing enough music, get maybe 1 or 2 in the 20 minute drive to work.

The inside jokes he loves to share and then giggle incessantly with his other studio members gets a bit wearing, especially if you havent a clue what is going on. Still no idea what chuffer dandridge is all about, or any of the other recurring shite he refers to.

Will not be able to tolerate Chris Evans overly happy nasal bleating that early in the morning. Quite why he gets so happy/excited about the most banal of things in lifes rings alarm bells for me. He obviously has so much money, reality has just well and truly detached itself.

It'll be different. I doubt Candyman would work at 8.20 on a Friday morning though Laughing

I think Graham Norton should do the drivetime slot. He was quite funny covering for Steve Right today.

Edited the original post to reflect the fact that Wogan isn't moving to the evening slot. It sounded like he was from the way he announced the whole thing yesterday. Anyway... managed to catch Norton just after work, and he was quite good. I wouldn't like Simon Mayo to assume control of the evening show though, he's boring. Thumbs Down

Yoorovishon will NEVER be the same without Wogan's input...

Some things in life are simply want of critique. Wogan certainly attempts to address such matters.

I switched from Radio 2 to Planet Rock when my missus bought me a DAB for my 40th, the banality of it was sapping me of the will to live.

The best music on Radio 2 is either played by Radcliffe/Maconie or Alex Lester 3am-6am but I tend to be asleep then.
