Anyone ridden a Honda Zoomer?

If I could pick one up for next to nothing are they ok for a laugh or are they really just crap?

I'm not talking about a fantastic riding experience, just something silly really, eg pitbike type laugh?

I haven't ridden one and have always been a bit disappointed by pitbikes (looks like they're more fun than they are.)
However, any light little bike can be fun; full throttle 95% of the time and making use of the light weight for quick steering, etc.

It's just now being without a bike for (insert duration here) I need some transport! I don't wanna buy another cheap bike as a) I dont have the space and b) it wont get used when I get my bike back.

Something like this will, ok, be slow but I can put up with that for a month or so! But after that it might be a laugh just to whizz around on!

With it's little fatty tyres it might be a right laugh when it gets snowy!

It's slow and simple but light enough to almost pick up and put in a car! It only weighs a little bit more than me! LOL!

Erm, just to clarify, did you google for 'BW350' and click on the link of the Blasi folding bike for more details? If not, I suggest you do so .
Unfortunately the Blasi is sold, but others may pop up.

Unfortunately very rare and doubly so in the UK. I suspect it'd actually suck for most stuff apart from riding in snow, but it looks cool .
It would not be considered 'small' - the rear wheel is so wide it has to have an extra chain and sprocket to widen the chain to fit around the wheel!

I have ridden 2 zoomers. One was standard and would not do more then 26mph even down a steep hill and the other had a leo vince pipe and a suposedly derestricted cdi and down the same hill it still managed less then 40mph. They are a cool looking bike (in a weird way) but the speed just really puts me off.

Yes, it was the BW, G! - The folder bike (even though sold) is probably a little too small for the road!! I don't want to be complete lorry fodder!! haha!

The BW looked great as it looks slightly larger than a monkey bike which is a good thing on the road, but small enough to not take up too much space in the garage! The perfect combination! Just a pity there isn't a more available alternative!

Erm, I'm pretty sure they are bigger than most trail bikes in everything but height. Quite a lot bigger than most pit bikes I suspect (some of the bigger ones are actually pretty big) - wouldn't be surprised if all in it'd match your sprint!

Can't you get a courtesy bike from the insurance company?

For a half-bearable scootering experience, I'm afraid you need to go for a 2 stroke 'race replica' thing. Even the Speedfight 100 I arsed about with a couple of years ago was so much better than the 4 stroke courtesy peds I got from Honda.

I really liked the little honda, it was what got me interested in two wheels. However, being a big bloke, and having a forty mile round trip for work on faster A roads, the 50cc didn't really seem practical.

Would love to have seen it in the UK as a 125cc. Anyway............

They appear to be slim on the ground second hand - well up in Scotland anyway, and Honda aren't keen to discount. Although maybe keen to get rid of a pre-reg if you can find one. £2k is a lot of money.

Not got one myself but one of my best mates in london gets an eternal piss taking from me for owning one. Rather than your usual ped boi, they tend to be owned by the 20 something trendy designery types for posing (of which he is one) and theres a pretty big mod scene with them. So far hes spent more than what he originally paid for the bike by getting stuff like big bore kits, cdi's, yoshimura cans and disc brake systems etc fitted onto it. The "piss take" is he could have done his test and bought something more serious to blast around on. However he loves it which is all that matters i guess. Far as im aware the stock tyres are crap but michelin do a better one.

ive ridden one and all i can say is

slow uncomfy bad handling and bigger then they look

also the most expencive 50cc scooter about

better off buying a 180cc runner and having some fun on that
