Caberg V2R Helmet

Hi guys. As my birthday is in 12 days my lovely girlfriend brought me my first helmet, its caberg V2R.

She was willing to spend 200 pounds on it but as I could not find any bad reviews about V2R i think its a good choice.
I could not find these helmets in my local shops but as I am large medium (57.8cm), size medium should fit me alright.

I was wondering if you have any opinion about that helmet.

Also do you know if these are any good?

Looks cool enough to me. If it fits nicely, then it's good to go...

I use a V2R. Good lid if a little noisy over 50mph. Makes up for it with the flip down visor. Also i prefer a Double D ring but the fastner always clunks firmly.

Noisy at speed, and in cold weather the vents blow the cool air across your eyes and make them water. Having said that, out of 4 choices that are sat on my shelf it's the one I reach for most often, mostly because of the hugely practical sun visor, and it fits me really well, staying comfy all day.

..... Oh, and the Mrs has a Trip and loves it, These did very well in an MCN group test thing a short time ago, and are the highest Sharp rated flip front lid IIRC (depending on your opinion of 'Sharp' test validity). I'd have had one myself but they don't fit my head shape.

I bought it a while back at found it great for the first couple months but then I couldn't get on with it. The padding had bedded in too much and it now doesn't fit me. Sun visor is a + though.

I use a V2R and I really like mine. IMO though the cold air across the eyes isn't necessarily a bad thing, keeps you awake and alert. I find mine comfy and as said the sun visor is handy.

I'd happily get another if I damaged mine.

I'm happy with my V2R. It's not excessively noisy and it looks sex.
However, 200 quid?! I got mine for 120 when I couldn't find a V2 in matt black.

Yeah, I could've got a metallic black one for £100, but I'm such a tart that when the shop didn't have matt black one to fit my XL bonse, I went to a slightly pricier shop.

My first helmet was one of them

Survived over a year of constant use in all weathers, previous comments of noisey and eyes watering are valid, but i liked mine

Only changed it as it got thrown through a gravel trap, with my head in it.
Survived well though and took a good beating sliding over gravel


Honda main dealers sell caberg
Will be one near you. Not badly priced either.

I've got a trip and I like it - the sun visor is great. However, it doesnt half fog up in the wrong condiditons and I've yet to spy out a pinlock kit for it. Anyone got any advice about this. I'm dreading the poor visibility winter will bring.

ive got the v2r zonda

Liked the V2R when I was looking at the Caberg range. Ended up with the Trip Tova - normal Trip with funky colours - it fitted slightly better, and having specs the flip front makes taking it on and off a little less risky for my specs.

Agree with the fogging tho, but now I'm more relaxed - less likely to be hyperventilating in fear all the time, it is better, but will be looking for a mask / cover for my mouth with the worsening weather.

just got rid as not all that impressed

noisy visor wouldnt stay up over thirty mph steamed up in cold weather

but flip down sun visor was good
