Not going to go into details, but i hit the back of someone today. Now i'm hoping its just my front forks which are bent. Basically the front wheel is now hitting the fairing, so i reckon the forks are bent.

Now will i be oki just replacing the fork legs or will i need a new wheel etc, the wheel looks fine etc.

Fork legs can be rolled straight if the metal isn't creased.

The wheel would have to be checked carefully for dents and cracks. Also checked for buckling by holding something like a pencil against the fork leg so it is just off the rim and turning the wheel. Buckling would show up as movement of the rim relative to the pencil.

EDIT: Also check carefully round the headstock (remove lights and any plastics) for any cracks on the welds holding it onto the frame. By check carefully I mean clean it, set up an inspection lamp and go over every inch of it.

I crashed today also and not my bike, need a new side fairing, mirror and indicator for a ZX9R. Not a good day. Looking about £500 I reckon.

Not a good idea to turn right immediately as setting off and then stalled and it fell over. Unbelievable. Feel like a prxck.

Lots of crashes today.

But I see no new additions to the 2009 BCF Spill counter.

Funnily enough, I did exactly the same thing on my friends ZX9R about 6 years ago when he told me to have a go.

I didn't know how to ride then, and stalled it when turning right, then dropped it! I didn't even want a go, didn't have a licence, but he told me to take it down my road and wouldn't take no for an answer!

Luckily it landed on my leg and didn't even scratch the bike!
