Lazy mans way to polish

At work yesterday, I was taking the 'burn' off some stainless with a rubber and thought "Hmm, would this work on my pipes"

Kept on working, and stole the rubbers.

And quess what they work.

Now for the technical stuff, these are just your average rubbers but have different grades of grit in each, so if your exhaust is a bad as mine WAS, and your also far to lazy to sit every week with the autosol for hours this is for you.

Please bare in mind, I have not cleaned my exhaust for about ermm about 15months so you can kind of quess what sort of state it was in, all brown and blotchy, but now after about 10mins with these rubbers it has gone from crud to good. All that is left is to get the autosol out and get the haze off it.

Please bare in mind I have put acid and stuff like that on exhausts before but with that it is a bit of a mixed outcome due to the times you can leave them on for because if they are on to long they do turn the surface black making it even worse.

So when I can I will get some pictures up for you to see and lets have a verdict.

I was actually been serious here, works a treat and takes not even a quarter of the time it does with autosol. I'll grab a pic when i can, but i can't seem to find them anywhere on the net so unfortunately web info is not possible.

Seen those before, abrasive rubber blocks. I can't remember the name but the guy who was demonstrating his ones to me said they weren't cheap. Great for finishing metal.

If you're trying to use Autosol to scrub away built up grime in the first place, you're kinda wasting your time.

Yes those are the things, and I have no idea what they cost because like the exhaust I made they don't cost me anything. All I do is go in the stores and grab them.

Unfortunately I only did the very end pipe so it now looks a bit silly with half a clean exhaust.
