I'm trying to find a way to access files on my Nokia N96 over the wireless network. My data cable appears to be knackered and it'll be a few days until another one turns up.

So N96 is on the wifi network and responds to ping, but I need to find some software to make the phone show up so I can grab files off it.

That is the only good thing about windows mobile.

the ONLY thing.

On a nokia, can't you get nokia pc suite which does all that?

Nokia PC suite is the software on the PC to connect the phone by cable, bluetooth or infared.

I want some software to put on the phone to make it show up on my network, like a nice little network client. Even getting it to show as a UPnP device would be good.

I've an app on the iPhone that lets me run a small web server so I can push and pull files from it over the wifi. This looks like a similar app for the N96 :-
