 |
|
Ok I have just brought a imported NSR . It is the black colour 2001 model. How ever I don’t know what type of petrol it takes. LoL. I have never had a motorcycle before and the instruction book is in German and French.
Also my engine cuts out very easily, I have been on it for 3 days. What’s up with it. I am a complete novice. I could not even open the seat with out cutting my hand. So How long should I leave my choke on for,
I’ve been keeping my bike in my kitchen does that effect the performance of it at all. Even when it is in neutral it cuts out. The engine note on the 4 stroke Suzuki bike that I did my test on sounded sweeter. So is there a problem with the engine or do NSR need to be revved like mad before they conk out.
Thx ppl

I paid £3000 for a Brand New Import is this a good price or was I knocked. I wanted a Cagiva Mito but I was told they brake apart Thx again. |

most nsr imports should run on unleaded.i bought mine 2 months ago and paid 3200.cheapest i could find anyway.most places where i live wanted 3500.it may need some adjustin to stop it cuttin out and try to get a manual and a manufacturers hand book.it will give u more of an idea about the nsr.never let that 2stroke oil run out,if u do u will know about it. |

NSR sorry to say uve just made a big mistake but ull live with it!, *IMPORTED NSR*, didnt u read any of the post warning ppl not to buy them, any way i hope u no top speed is only 85mph and it takes long to get there!!!
...Unleaded petrol goes in all nsrs...
...you need to adjust ur idle revs, remove airbox and there is an adjusting screw (adjust it to 1500 revs)... it doesnt have enough revs to keep the engine ticking over and stalls so it needs to be higher...
...use choke for a few seconds when the engine is cold...
...keeping in the kitchen is no different than keeping it in garage... you may find that some of ur food goes missing!!
...always warm up the engine before redlining and ragging it...
...remember to run it in properly, u DONT want it to go bang...
...(not taking the piss) because ur a novice, get ur bike serviced accordingly and get a macanic to adjust ur chain and lube it every few hundred miles...
anyway welcome and have fun, im sure in a few months ull get to know ur bike and learn new things any questions dont hesitate to ask...
SAFE RIDING
