hi, i am not sure which forum this belongs in but i'll put it here.

i am considering buying an aprilia rs125 with a damaged side fairing and scratched nose cone.

i was just wondering how easy is it to get a replacement of these, and where from (damaged or not, may do custom paint job Mr. Green ) also what price i should expect to pay for them? and if it is really worth replacing them as i will probably damage them more myself?

any help would be appreciated.

Lee

Hi

You can get them through Aprilia but they will not be cheap. You might be able to find 2nd hand ones from a breakers yard but they may not be any better than what you already have.

Depending on how damaged they are just get them plastic welded up and repainted.

All the best

Keith

he says that they have been plastic welded, but you can still see where it broke? i'll probably go and see the bike and see what it looks like.

thanks for the help Thumbs Up Cool

sometimes just one of those pieces goes for £50

it depends on demand. not much on there atm tho.

Dont buy new very expensive, and you will wait 300 years to get them from aprilia whened i crash mine RS 125 97 i brought one side panel for 50 quid from a breaks he said it was good condition but still had to rebuild it because it was more damaged than he said, be careful if a break says there light damage its heavy scratches in real terms. Try and repair it yourself if not to much damage a good plastic filler and primer will get back a good shape to the panel just takes abit of effort.

Hope this helps

AK breakers by bristol airport.

and to get both sides costs £120 + p&p
dunno about condition though, as for a bike to be in a breakers, it was broke at some point. usually in a crash
