There are some great photos of the recent fires which swept through California. I've resized a few cracking examples below, but look at the full set here: https://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2009/09/wildfires_in_southern_californ.html

In fact, there are loads of series of great pictures on the site: https://www.boston.com/bigpicture/

I'll go with an XR600. Although the seat is throwing me, doesn't quite climb up the tank as far as I'd like. Saying that, I'd rather flames weren't climbing up the forks, either.

Last one looks like the scene from Terminator when the flames rip through the city.

How rather apt! Remember, anything the Yanks can do, we can do better, albeit usually on a smaller scale!

There is one in Yosemite too at the moment, was a controlled fire that got out of control and burned quite a large area. Got some pictures of it at dusk lastweek, the sunset makes it look a bit more special than it was.

Had a lot of fire helicopters and trucks running around, when I got there they had a section of river by the road guarded off while the helicopters came to it to suck up water to take to the fires.
