Well I said I wasn't going to go but I've been bunged up with cold all weekend, my first weekend off since easter, so I was damned if I was going to waste it feeling sorry for myself at home.

So I went over to Bangor to meet up with Ghost and we rode over the A5 down into Betws for about 4pm. We were both suprised by the amount of bikes we saw on the way there then we were both even more suprised by the amount of bikes we saw at Swallow Falls! I took some shots with the intention of stitching them together in photoshop but they came out a bit crap:

We spent a while walking around looking at the bikes, I can't say there was many special bikes there but then there were people coming and going all the time so we may just have missed anything fancy/exotic that turned up. I took a few shots anyway:

Interesting pillion!

Ghost, also suffering with a cold!

I really liked this CB1000R, it looked really stealthy and mean.

Took this one for Ghost Razz

Our two machines of awesomeness, suprisingly we didn't see another ZXR400 all day, then when we stopped to think about we realised they must have all broken down en route Razz

We couldn't figure out why this BMW had a massive hole in the tank?

Ha ha, this guy had some classic 1950's priorities on the go. Get your petite wife to pull you and your bike uphill out of where you'd parked while you just sit there revving your bike, classic!

Overall I was impressed by the attitude of everyone there, I didn't see a single idiot or stupid riding manouver all day, I didn't see any small plates or anything like that and I barely noticed a police presence at all. Here's hoping that nobody had any trouble and North Wales police will learn something from the day.

That's not the tank, the fuel tank is actually built into the frame. The bikes came with a rucksack that was designed to fit into that empty space Thumbs Up

I need to get out more.

That was certainly a good day out, 13 hours on the road for me and I was knackered afterwards but the scenery and roads round that area are just stunning!

Kudos to everyone for keeping it responsible, I didnt see any particularly lairy riding through the day - nor did I see the police misbehaving either. Funny though that in the height of gridlock at swallow falls a copper in a traffic car started flashing his blues to get through and quickly just gave up and sat there Smile

Big Fun!

Yeah I was also suprised I didn't see any idiots anywhere. Usually you put that many bikers in one place at the same time and you're going to get someone showing off doing wheelies and burnouts and generally riding like a loon but I didn't see any of that either!

I like the 1 megapixel camera, it doesn't show up the scratches so my bike looks pretty good in that picture!
