aprilia rs125 help

help with aprilia rs125 my bike starts and goes till it gets to ab8 6000rpm and then it kangos got told was power vavle cable so got a new 1 now it still the same if not worse any 1 help me out

Hi,
does the kangarooing stop when you get past 6000rpm?
you taken the pv blade out & cleaned it recently?
it could be all gummed up & is sticking, though i very much doubt it.
most problems i had on the rs were carb related, usually due to someone else trying to "set it up"
return the carb to stock settings.
use the oem airbox.
fit a new spark plug & start from there.
is the pv cable correctly tensioned like it says in manual?

hi, i have the same problem with my rs but mine is at 7000rpm.
my engine has just had a full engine rebuild and cleaned everything as she was being rebuilt. iv done 130 mile since the rebuild and thought i would try out the pv only to find it kangaroos,its ok in 1st but not in the rest. cleaned the carb out but still the same. any1 got any suggestion's. thx gaz

Hi

Power valve doesn't open until around 8000 so it shouldn't be that.

Suppose if the cable is over tensioned then it would hold the power valve slightly open which might cause odd issues.

If the problem occurs between 5000 and 6000rpm (but fine outside that range) then I would say it is possibly something to do with the environmental dip.

it strarts at 7000rpm and doesn't stop till i change gear it starts when im in 2nd gear 1st is ok
