Operation flashpoint dragon rising is shaping up nicely, I am going to get it on the pc as I don't think a console will do it justice.

Not sure if it has built in VOIP

Enjoy Thumbs Up

I think it was developed for the Pc in mind and has been ported I am getting it for Pc (for now) as it comes with the map editor and will have the dev console for all the shiny graphics settings and should have less draw with the extra system and GPU memory.

COD6 console this def PC

Booo Very Happy

Looks alright but needs to be played on the hardest settings. Would have liked a bit more recoil too, and some of the popups look a bit suspect.

I think it'll be better (graphics) on PC but go no friends who play PC Sad

The OFP series (including ArmA 1 & 2) are the usual bugged to hell and back Bohemia Interactive shite. And they never patch/fix them properly before releasing the next one. I've had OFP and ArmA1 and they suck donkey ass.

If you want a pukka full-real shooter go for the Darkest Hour mod for Red Orchestra (Steam games).

I play DH and RO on a regular basis.

Nothing more satisfying that hitting a krout between the eyes with a mosin nagant from the other end of the map. It takes so much more skill and patience to play these games than any other FPS out there.

No doubt they will be bugged I concur.

Seeing as it is a Pc>console port you can hope that there will be one big patch soon after release to fix the f5ck ups and then smaller balance changes.

One thing I do not like about todays "next gen" consoles is the fact they think they can get away with patching!

Hmmm I dont think I ever saw a patched PS1 or PS2 game.

This always online attitude houses have now means that when a publisher push's a design house too deliver they send out an unfinished product.

Install game (understandable) wait 30minutes for it to patch (not understandable)

FFS ARMA 2 Demo wont even run correctly on my system and its a single 285 card and windows XP?!

This game does look a bit dumbed down for console control but I am hoping its just good fun and you can add as much relaism as you like.

Not played many Steam mods, might give them a go Thumbs Up

I am confident in this one, please let it be right, its been ages since I had a good shooter I actually had to think about.

I still miss joint operations typhoon rising.

I'm hoping this won't be too bad on the bugs front, as its got nowt to do with Bohemia Interactive this time.

Having said that, I was playing armed assault 1 a month or so ago, and if you can put up with some funky ballistics and at times super human AI, there is a lot to be enjoyed.

It's a shame all support for it will more than likely be cut off now with the release of armed assault 2 and we will start from the beginning again.

I've no intention of buying armed assault 2 until it starts going for a fair price, its still £20+ on amazon, you can pre order dragon rising for less than that ffs.

Think I paid 7 quid for armed assault gold last year. Thumbs Up Played it intensely for a few weeks got stuck on a particular mission and havent picked it up since, its the problem with these games when the difficulty gets so fierce there is nothing you can do.

Because although you will know what you want to do, but getting it implemented with the shaky team order control and dodgy AI it never works. When you could be bashing away at a mission for an hour or two it doesn't take long to lose the will to live.
