sounds like someone's messed with the variator rollers.. I'm sure I've read somewhere that if the roller weights are too heavy (maybe too light) causes lack of power on inclines.

Worth checking out.

rear clutch worn out? check the condition of the belt, any oil contamination?

only other thing really is rollers, do they have flat spots on them etc, possibly give the carb a cleaning out, cant hurt.

Er why is that a problem......

If you are on a push bike what happens to you come to go up hill.....
It gets harder to push.

You only have 50cc, its going too slow down..... Even bigger engines slow down up hills.....

Another little pointer, make the thread title relate to your post...
Help, Help, Help means nothing.

Im surprised a 50 can even make it up a hill tbh. I mean my NSR 125 had to be in first or second to climb steep hills let alone a 50cc scooter with no gears at all.

Full throttle on a moped going up a hill is destined to bog down and overfuel, uphill = slowdown.

Check the exhaust isn't coked up as well, is overall performance down on what you expect? If so then cleaning out the exhaust may allow the exhaust gas to escape as it should and you'll have more power, what there is of it.

Cheers

no dude..he is serious... ALL 50cc mopeds will drop speed at ANY hill..
my 125cc 4 stroke crawled up hills at 35ish... in 2nd gear
my car used to do a 14% hill round here @ 30mph in 2nd..

Hills do slow you down.. ALOT especially on a pretty much gearless, gutless low cc'd moped.

Of course it's going to slow down when going up a hill. Were you expecting it to go faster when going up hills?
