Right, Probably one for Keith here.

My pit bike is running rather well, It has a bit more top end power in it, But wont get there because it splutters. Carb needs setting up.

It currently gets to about 66mph before it splutters. So running properly, I know it will get to 75mph easily.

Current gearing is:

428 Pitch Chain
16t Front
39t Rear
12" rear wheel with a 130/70-12 tyre.
I make the rolling circumference 1524mm

It pulls really well on this gearing, and will easily pull off taller gearing.

Sprockets I have are:

17t front
35t rear

How can I work out the top speed with just the 17t Front fitted, And then just the 35t rear fitted.

And then both 17t front and 35t rear fitted.

Cheers

Ben

you could try matching your bike to a bike on the list and then customising your sprocket and chain set

Hi

Gearing commander will give you the basics. Current gearing will give you 81mph @10250rpm.

All the best

Keith

Cheers Keith.

Well if I run the taller gearing setting of the sprockets. 17t/35t. It will do 96mph. Laughing

Dropping the rear to a 33t would give me 101.8mph @ 10250rpm. Providing it will pull to said rpm.

Cool
