XBOX 360, LIVE issues

Now this is a bit of a long one, but i've turned everywhere else.

I cannot connect to ONE friend, that lives a few roads down from me, his on BT, running his connection on DMZ, i'm on tiscali, with all relevant ports open, with nat type open.

Or i run it on automatic, and get NAT open.

I can connect to EVERY other friend, except him, and we can connect to a party THROUGH our other friends.

Xbox told me it was my ISP being gay, my ISP told me it was Xbox.

I called all of them c*nts and wondered if anyone had an idea.

Yeah mate, BOTH of us can play with our mutual friends.

But we can't connect together.

It worked tonight for some reason, with NO settings changed, but didn't work last night.

and 100% won't work tomorrow, i mean wtf.

I'm running my settings on automatic again...

I've had this before, on Xbox Live and Playstation Network.

It sucks but there's nothing you can do. Its a fuck up with the network I believe. I don't know why but either it can't make the connection or its blocked for some reason. I've noticed its always happens to people close to you. I had the same with my brother and a friend from work. The direct connections to both just wouldnt work, yet everyone could connect to everyone else (this is at 2 different addresses by the way).

I've no idea what causes it, it needs some Network/ADSL boffin from both BT and Xbox to get it working.
