What is the longest trip you have done on a motorcycle (or moped/scooter/trike)? Would be helpful to state the start location and destination, distance one way and the bike you did it on Thumbs Up

Are you talking in a single day or touring?

Mines approx 2500 miles on a ZX7R. Was hoping to do double that this year but circumstances didn't allow. There's always next year though Mr. Green .

Anyone heard off Itchy recently? His last blog entry was 17th July, but I think he's given up making any further entries as he's changed the link in his sig to go to Google homepage.

In one day I did 569 miles from Le mans to Liverpool.

While touring I've managed about 3,500 miles from Liverpool to Morocco and back. That was done in about a week and a half.

My longest in one day is ~600 miles. That was a Sunday hoon with no particular destination in mind. Ended up in Folkestone to have a bag of chips on the beach, got pulled near Thetford and seriously lost near Kings Lynn.

A Little over 250 miles on my 125 Cool Eight hours on that seat at that kind of vibration is impressive I'll have you know! Got lost many, many times and it took a while for the feeling to start coming back afterwards Laughing

ms51ves3: why does it need 500 miles? Are you teaching it how to be a piston?

Just under 700 miles in a day BMW R1200RT.

Started in warrington, ended up in glasgow. Then ended up on the A9 to Inverness, turned off and found myself in Fort William. Couldn't find a vacant hotel with a single room so made my way down to Oban. Then ended up going to Ben Nevis, back to glasgow and thought might aswell go home and come back another time with a tent Smile

70% rain all day, minor gale going on around Ben Nevis. Good day trip out though in all. The RT handled it no problem, would of struggled on my previous Z750.

I think about 130 each way, in one day, painful on a ZX6R without a couple of breaks though.

Did 360 miles in a day on an '87 Kawasaki GT550 around Cornwall earlier this summer (a sort of one-day tour). About 12 hours in the saddle, bum was a bit sore but not too bad.

Rode from Exeter to Cambridge (about 240 miles) on an RXS100 in July too. I couldn't quite believe how well the bike coped - was cruising at 70mph (10,000rpm) for about 2 hours without issue. A little bum soreness at the end but the journey was nothing like the mission I'd imagined.

Probably the most I have done in a day is about 430 miles on a Fazer 600. I went from Blackpool to Port William, near Stranraer and home again to see the Isle of Man from Scotland Rolling Eyes Took the scenic route and didn't get lost lol

I have been known to go to Peebles for lunch as I had nothing else to do and went to Norfolk for the weekend because it was the only place in the country not forecast rain Laughing

Southampton to Folkestone, over on the tunnel and then down through France to Leon. In one hit. 823 miles, left Southampton at 12:30AM and arrived at Leon at 10:30PM. Sore as hell but worth it.

Cheers
